The Bustle Mobile App is designed to support fatigue offline functionality, ensuring that drivers can continue logging fatigue-related events even without internet connectivity. This article outlines what users can expect when operating the app offline.
? When the App Goes Offline
If the driver’s mobile device loses internet connectivity, the Bustle app will automatically switch to offline mode. When this occurs, a yellow/mustard-coloured title band will appear at the top of the screen with the label: "Offline"
This visual cue ensures that the driver is aware they are not currently connected to the internet.
? Authentication Requirements
Even while offline, security and regulatory compliance remain a priority. As such:
The driver will be prompted to log in again using their Bustle login credentials. This is expected behaviour.
When attempting to access the Fatigue Module, the driver will be required to re-authenticate using their Bustle password, when accessing main menu screens of the fatigue module.
When moving in and out of the Bustle Jobs module and Bustle Fatigue module, including accessing the Fatigue Main Menu, the driver will at times be required to Authenticate again.
This is to ensure that:
The correct driver is entering their own fatigue data.
The entry is secure and compliant with government regulations.
✅ Actions Available in Offline Mode
Despite being offline, drivers can still perform critical actions within the app, including:
Start Work
Start Break
Start Rest
Edit Historical Events
- Drivers can update previous fatigue-related entries to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
? What Happens When Internet Returns?
Once the device detects an internet connection again:
The “Offline” label will disappear and the Title will return to blue.
The driver will be able to upload their fatigue data
